Mahindra is preparing to make a big bang again in the Indian automobile market. The company is going to introduce some of its most popular SUVs Thar, Scorpio and XUV700 into a brand new avatar. In the coming months, there will be an updated version or electric models of these vehicles.

Mahindra Thar EV
Mahindra recently launched the 3-door Thar ICE model with some updates, and now the company is preparing to bring an electric version of this popular SUV. Thar EV or Say Thar.e has been showcased in South Africa before, but now its production version is going to come with more advanced technology and powerful design.

The SUV will be based on the NU_IQ platform and will feature a dual motor setup, giving it superb off-roading capability with a 4WD system. Two battery options can be given in the Thar EV, giving it a longer range and better performance. It is being said that its design will be inspired by the “Vision T” concept which was also shown earlier in India.
Mahindra XUV700 Facelift
Now let’s talk about Mahindra’s premium SUV XUV700, whose facelift model is about to be launched soon. It has been seen several times during testing, and is expected to make its official debut by the first quarter of 2026.
The same, the new XUV700 will feature new grills, re-designed bumpers and stylish alloy wheels. But the real change is inside it Mahindra can offer a triple screen layout, which will include a larger infotainment display, digital driver display and a passenger screen.
Mahindra XEV 7e
Speaking of Mahindra XEV 7e, Mahindra is also increasing its electric SUV range rapidly. The XEV 7e is a great example of this, which will be based on the XUV.e8 concept. In terms of design it gives a glimpse of the XUV700 but its heart is fully electric.
The company is set to launch it in 2026, and will be positioned under the BE6 and XEV9e in the electric range of the SUV Mahindra. It is believed that this SUV will come with long range battery packs, advance features and fast charging support.
Mahindra Vision S
Mahindra recently introduced several concepts based on its NU_IQ platform, with Vision S drawing the most attention. This concept is considered a compact and modern version of Scorpio.

The same, seeing Vision S is clear that Mahindra is going to make SUVs with a new design philosophy and advanced technology in the coming times. Testing of its production model has also started, and it is expected that next year it may enter the SUV market. However, mass production of trains based on the NU_IQ platform will begin around 2027.
