Weather Forecast: Many states in North India are going to see bad weather today, April 19. Even in the capital, Delhi, the weather patterns seem to be changing. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be relief from the scorching heat today.

An alert has been issued in many states of the country regarding strong winds, lightning, and rain. The weather is also becoming milder in the capital, Delhi. During the last 24 hours, light rain has been observed over Central Maharashtra, Marathwada, and North Interior Karnataka.

Sporadic light rain has occurred in northeast India. Whereas, heatwaves and scorching heat conditions are prevailing in different areas of Saurashtra and Kutch.

Heat wave conditions are being seen in different parts of Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha. A fresh western disturbance is likely to affect north-west India on April 22. So let us know the weather conditions across the country:

Delhi Weather

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms in Delhi today. After rain, storms, strong winds, and storms, there may be a slight drop in temperature. After the clouds clear on April 20, strong surface winds will blow.

Rain warnings in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall with thunder, lightning, and strong winds in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, during the 19th and 22nd. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in Uttarakhand during April 19–24, 2024.

IMD has further predicted that Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi may witness light rain with thunder, lightning, and strong winds from the 19th to the 22nd. Apart from this, similar weather may prevail in Western Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Eastern Uttar Pradesh on April 19.

Widespread light to moderate rainfall or snowfall with isolated thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds are very likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura till April 22, 2024.

IMD said that Sikkim may receive heavy rains until April 21. Sub-Himalayan West Bengal may receive light to moderate rain with gusty winds accompanied by isolated thunderstorms and lightning on April 19–21.

IMD has said that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with isolated thunderstorms in Kerala and Mahe from April 19 to 22.
