Kia New EV Cars: Amidst the ever-increasing demand for electric cars, Kia India is also planning to introduce 3 new EVs in the domestic market. Two locally made electric cars are being developed by the company for 2025, while the flagship EV9 electric 7-seater SUV could be introduced before the end of this calendar year or in early 2025. Kia EV9
The Kia EV9 was introduced for the global markets last year. Its launch in India is expected to take place in late 2024 or early 2025. It will be completely imported into the Indian market. The EV9 offers a driving range of 541 km in the WLTP cycle and is available in single and dual-motor configurations in international markets
Kia Clavis EV
The Kia Clavis with the IC-engine has been spotted testing overseas and at various locations including India. It is expected to have its world premiere by the end of this year, with plans to launch in multiple markets including India in early 2025.
An electric version of the Clavis has also been seen undergoing testing and is expected to hit the Indian market next year with a range of over 400 km to rival the Tata Punch EV
Kia Carens EV
The South Korean auto maker is planning to introduce an electric MPV based on the Carens as early as 2025. This upcoming e-MPV is likely to share many components and elements with the electric version of the Clavis. Their partnership with Indian battery manufacturer Exide could play an important role in developing this family MPV.
