Ayushman Card: The Delhi government led by CM Rekha Gupta has started registration for Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) in the capital from April 10. Finance Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh said that the first phase of registration for Ayushman Bharat has started.

Let us tell you that under this government scheme, economically weaker people get financial assistance of up to Rs 5 lakh per family for hospitalization and medical expenses. Let us tell you that under the Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, a budget of about 2400 crores has been allocated for the development of Delhi’s health infrastructure.

The agreement was reached on 5 April

Today, from April 10, 2025, Ayushman cards of the beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) will start being made. An agreement was signed on April 5 between the National Health Authority (NHA) of the Central Government and the State Health Agency of the Delhi Government to implement PMJAY in the national capital.

Eligibility

This scheme of the Central Government launched under the National Health Policy 2017 by the Central Government benefits all persons above the age of 70 years, irrespective of their income. The age mentioned in the Aadhar card of the beneficiary is considered as the basis for eligibility.

Talking about Delhi, CM Rekha Gupta while presenting the Delhi Budget 2025 had informed that Ayushman Bharat Yojana will be implemented in Delhi. Apart from the Rs 5 lakh provided under this scheme, the Delhi government will also provide an additional health insurance benefit of Rs 5 lakh to the beneficiaries. Let us tell you that about 36 lakh people in Delhi are expected to benefit from this scheme.

How to register yourself

-First go to pmjay.gov.in

-Then click on PMJAY for 70+ option. Now you will be redirected to beneficiary.nha.gov.in login page

-Then enter your mobile number and then enter the captcha given on the screen

-Now enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number

-Click on State to apply for this health insurance scheme

-Check its eligibility. If you are eligible, then the username will be visible on the right side of the page

-If your PMJAY card is not available, then click on Apply in the Action column

-Enter the OTP received on the Aadhaar-linked mobile number and authenticate

-After this you will be registered for Delhi Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
