Indian batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant have suffered losses in the latest Test batting rankings released by the ICC, while captain Shubman Gill has moved up two places to reach number 11. Rishabh Pant disappointed with the bat in the Test match played against South Africa in Kolkata, due to which he is now out of the top-10. Rishabh Pant has slipped four places to reach number 12 in the Test batting rankings. Yashasvi Jaiswal has slipped two places to reach number 7.
Joe Root is top of Test batter’s rankings
England’s Joe Root remains at the top of the ICC Test batting rankings. His compatriot Harry Brook is second on the list, followed by New Zealand’s Kane Williamson at third and Australia’s Steve Smith at fourth. South Africa captain Temba Bavuma, who performed brilliantly against India, has climbed two places to reach number 5. Sri Lanka’s Kamindu Mendis remains at sixth. New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell, England’s Ben Duckett and Australia’s Travis Head have improved one place each to be at number 8, 9 and 10 respectively.
Bowlers Rankings
In the latest Test bowler rankings released by the ICC, Jasprit Bumrah continues to hold the top spot. Australia’s Josh Hazlewood has moved up one spot to number 5. India’s Mohammed Siraj has slipped one spot to number 12, while South Africa’s Marco Jansen has climbed one spot to number 11. India’s Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja have improved their rankings. While Kuldeep has jumped two places to reach number 13, Ravindra Jadeja has jumped four places to reach number 15. South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj has slipped three places to reach number 16.
