Former India captain Rohit Sharma, who dropped from the number one spot last week, has once again reached the top spot. Rohit Sharma hasn’t played a single ODI in the meantime, but he’s still managed to reach the number one spot. While there haven’t been many changes in the ODI rankings this time, there has been some movement in the lower order of the top 10.
Rohit Sharma number 1 ODI batter
Former Indian captain Rohit Sharma has once again become the number one batsman in the ICC ODI rankings. His rating is 781. However, Rohit has not played any ODI matches in the meantime. New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell, who reached the number one position last week, has now slipped to the second position.
Actually, according to the ICC ranking rules, when a team plays and a player does not play, his rating automatically drops. Something similar happened with Daryl Mitchell. The New Zealand team played some matches without Mitchell, due to which he lost his rating. Now his rating has become 766.
Gill and Virat’s position also unchanged
Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran remains at number three in the ICC ODI rankings, with a rating of 764. Indian team captain Shubman Gill is now at number four, with a rating of 745. Virat Kohli is currently at number five in the ICC ODI rankings, with a rating of 725. Pakistan’s Babar Azam is at number six with a rating of 722, and Ireland’s Harry Tractor is at number seven with a rating of 708.
Shreyas Iyer suffered loss
West Indies’ formidable batsman Shai Hope has jumped two places this time around. He is now at No. 8 with a rating of 701. India’s Shreyas Iyer has dropped one spot to No. 9 with a rating of 700. Sri Lanka’s Charith Asalanka is now at No. 10 with a rating of 690. He has also dropped one spot.
