Israel vs. Iran: Tensions in the Middle East have escalated once again, raising fears that the situation could deteriorate. Late Sunday night, Israel faced a massive, simultaneous attack from two fronts. Furthermore, threats were issued, warning Israel of consequences should it retaliate. Iran directed missiles toward Israel.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah launched a heavy attack from Lebanon using missiles and drones. In response to these dual-front attacks, Israel’s air defence system was activated, and sirens began blaring across major cities. The situation remains tense.

Iran Launches Missiles

Late Sunday night, Iran attacked Israel from the north using four ballistic missiles. Israel states that this is the first time Iran has fired missiles at it since the ceasefire in April. Iran launched these attacks in connection with the situation in Lebanon.

Iran wants Israel to halt military action against Lebanon; however, Israel continues to strike targets there, including Hezbollah positions. Recent attacks targeted the Lebanese capital, Beirut. Amidst this, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi posted an image featuring the flags of both Iran and Lebanon.

Amidst the attacks, Mohsen Rezaei—an advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader—issued a statement. He remarked that Iran had repeatedly warned it would not tolerate ceasefire violations or attacks on Lebanon, adding that the aggressors received a response to this tonight.

What Iran’s Forces Said

Iran’s IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) has issued a startling statement. The IRGC stated that Israel is continuously escalating its brutality against the oppressed people of Lebanon—aided by the complicity of the criminal US and the silence of international forums—and is committing war crimes through the use of banned weapons, including phosphorus bombs. It further noted that, despite Iran’s previous warnings, attacks were carried out on the outskirts of Beirut.
