Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal have broken silence regarding her marriage. They confirmed that the marriage has been called off.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Mandhana wrote, “There’s been a lot of speculation about my life over the past few weeks, and I feel it’s important for me to speak out at this time. I’m a very private person and I’d like to keep it that way, but I want to clarify that the wedding is cancelled.”
The Indian opener further wrote, “I want to put this matter to rest here and I request all of you to do the same. I request you to please respect the privacy of both families at this time and allow us the opportunity to move on and move forward.”

Mandhana further elaborated on her focus and priorities. She wrote, “I believe there’s a greater purpose driving all of us, and for me, that has always been to represent my country at the highest level. I hope to continue playing for India and winning trophies for as long as I can, and that will always be my focus. Thank you for all your support. It’s time to move on.”
On the other side, Palash wrote, “I have decided to move on with my life and step back from my personal relationship.” Palash also reacted to rumors that the wedding was postponed because Palash had cheated on Smriti. Palash said, “It has been very difficult for me to see people react so easily to baseless rumors about something that has been most sacred to me. This is the most difficult time of my life, and I will handle it with dignity while remaining true to my beliefs. I truly hope that we, as a society, will learn to pause before judging someone based on unverified gossip whose sources are never known. Our words can hurt in ways we may never understand.”
