Team India will take on South Africa in the second ODI on Wednesday, November 3, at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. KL Rahul led team made a strong start to the series with a thrilling 17-run win in Ranchi. While the team doesn’t need to worry too much about its playing XI for this match, the team management and head coach Gautam Gambhir may make one or two changes to the line-up to rotate players and give others opportunities.

India’s probable playing XI for India vs South Africa 2nd ODI

Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Virat Kohli are expected to fill the top three positions in the Indian batting order . Washington, who batted at number five in the last match, could be dropped from the playing eleven and replaced by Nitish Kumar Reddy. Washi was used for only three overs in the Ranchi match, as captain Rahul preferred Jadeja and Kuldeep. Sundar also failed to make much of a mark with the bat, managing just 13 runs off 19 balls.

Reddy’s return to the playing XI will boost the pace department, which includes Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, and Harshit Rana. Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja could be India’s two spinners in this match.

Difficult for Rishabh Pant to find a place

KL Rahul will be very happy with the team’s batting and will likely make no changes to the lineup. Ruturaj Gaikwad returned to the ODI team after a long break in the first match and managed just 5 runs in Ranchi. Gambhir may give him a few more chances. If Rishabh Pant is included in the playing XI, Gaikwad could be dropped.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Nitish Kumar Reddy/Washington Sundar, KL Rahul (captain and wicketkeeper), Ravindra Jadeja, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav and Prasidh Krishna.
