Team India squad for ODI series vs South Africa: The ODI series between India and South Africa is about to begin, and everyone is gearing up for it. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has also announced Team India’s squad for the ODI series against South Africa. The BCCI has excluded captain Shubman Gill from the squad for this series.
He has been ruled out due to injury. Wicketkeeper KL Rahul will captain the team. Rohit Sharma has also been included in the squad. Test vice-captain Rishabh Pant has also been included in the ODI format after a long time. This three-match ODI series will be played, and fans are very excited about it.
Why was Shubman Gill ruled out?
Shubman Gill suffered a neck injury at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata, due to which he has been ruled out of the ODI series. Ruturaj Gaikwad, who scored the most runs in ODIs against South Africa, has also been included in the squad. Jasprit Bumrah has been excluded from this series.
Prasidh Krishna and Arshdeep Singh, two fast bowlers, have also been included in the team squad. The ODI series against South Africa is scheduled to begin on November 30, 2025. The first match of the series is scheduled to be played at the Ranchi Stadium in Jharkhand. The second match of the series will be played in Raipur on December 3.
The final and third matches of the series are scheduled to be played in Visakhapatnam on December 6. Rishabh Pant has returned to the ODI format after a long time. He was last seen playing in an ODI in August 2024. Since then, he has been excluded from the ODI format.
