Tickets for 1500 seats reserved for students for India vs South Africa 2nd ODI between India and South Africa to be held on December 3 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Naya Raipur will be available from Monday. For this, the Chhattisgarh State Cricket Association has made arrangements to open a ticket counter at the indoor stadium near Budhatalaab from November 24. Here, from 10 am to 5 pm, students will be able to get a single ticket for Rs 800 by showing a valid identity card (ID) of the current session of their educational institution.
Official announcement
Cricket Association Director Baldev Singh Bhatia stated that to avoid inconvenience, two ticket counters have been set up for students. Six separate counters have been opened for those booking online. Those booking online will be able to easily obtain tickets by scanning a barcode on their smartphone. They will not need to show their ID. After scanning the barcode, an OTP will likely be generated for confirmation, after which physical tickets will be available.

He stated that online tickets will be issued from November 24th to the evening of December 2nd. After that, the counter will close. Plans are underway to open a counter at the International Stadium for the convenience of spectators during this high-voltage match, which begins at 1:30 pm on December 3rd. The Upper 3rd stand has been reserved for students. After purchasing tickets, students will be allowed entry into the stadium through Gate No. 3.
Association officials stated that to avoid a stampede during ticket purchases, students’ valid IDs can be checked in line before they approach the counter. The Cricket Association is planning to deploy at least 20 volunteers for this purpose. During the New Zealand-India ODI match in 2023, there was an uproar over delays in ID verification and cash disbursements. Therefore, UPI facility has also been provided for payment at the counter.
The Cricket Association has enlisted the help of the police administration to arrange for the distribution of student concession tickets at the Indoor Stadium starting at 10 a.m. on Monday. Mr. Bhatia stated that separate parking has been arranged for ticket buyers. Police and private security guards will be deployed to maintain order during ticket collection.
