With this, he has now become only the second left-arm spin bowler in the world who has taken 50 or more wickets of South Africa in Test cricket.
Incredible achivement for Ravindra Jadeja
Before him, this feat was achieved by former England player and left-arm spinner Colin Blythe. He took 59 wickets in Test cricket for South Africa from 1906 to 1910. Let us tell you that this former great player of England has 100 wickets in his name in just 19 Tests.
In the ongoing Test series against South Africa, Ravindra Jadeja took a total of 10 wickets across both Test matches. He went wicketless in the first innings of the first Test in Kolkata, but he managed to take four wickets in the second innings. Speaking of batting, Ravindra Jadeja scored 27 runs in the first innings and 18 runs in the second innings of the Kolkata Test.
