Team India has been announced for the ODI series against New Zealand. In a surprising decision, the Indian selectors have dropped the player who made headlines for his impressive performance in the previous series.
Fans are fuming to know that selectors did not pick Ruturaj Gaikwad even after scoring a century
Ruturaj Gaikwad is referring to his 105-run knock in the Raipur ODI against South Africa. Following his century, he didn’t bat in the Visakhapatnam ODI, and now he’s out of the team. His fans are furious with the BCCI’s decision, and the board is being criticized on social media. Fans on social media are asking the BCCI what Ruturaj Gaikwad did wrong to not be selected for the ODI series.

Gaikwad has also been performing exceptionally well in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He scored 124 runs against Uttarakhand and led Maharashtra to victory with his 66 against Mumbai. However, despite this, he has not been included in the squad for the New Zealand ODI series.
Not just Gaikwad, four other prominent players were not selected for the ODI team. This includes Axar Patel, who scored a brilliant century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on selection day.
