Tired of Regular Food? This Spicy Karonda Green Chilli Fry Will Make You Forget Boring Dal-Chawal

Usually, we cook dal rice or sabzi roti at home, and sometimes we don’t even feel hungry after seeing it, right? In such a situation, why not try something new and spicy? If you are also bored with food, then definitely try this green chilli karonda fry once! This dish is so amazing that you can eat it with paratha as well as dal rice. And the best part? It is very easy and quick to make!

Ingredients required to make Green Chilli Karonda Fry:

Karonda: 100 grams

Green chillies: 8-10 (you can add more or less according to your taste)

Oil: 2 tablespoons

Asafoetida: 2 pinches

Cumin seeds: half a teaspoon

Turmeric powder: half a teaspoon

Coriander powder: 1 teaspoon

Fennel powder: 1 teaspoon

Salt: according to taste

A little sugar if needed: (to reduce the sourness of the karonda)

How to make hot Green Chilli Karonda Fry:

First, wash and clean the karonda thoroughly, then cut them into two parts. Wash the green chillies too and cut them lengthwise.

Now, heat oil in a pan. As soon as the oil gets hot, add asafoetida and cumin seeds to it. When the cumin seeds start crackling, add turmeric powder, chopped karonda, green chillies and salt to it.

Mix it well, cover, and cook on a low flame for 5 minutes.

When the cranberries become a little soft, add coriander powder and fennel powder and mix. Now cook it without covering so that the moisture evaporates.

If you feel that the cranberries are too sour, you can add a little sugar to it. This will balance the taste perfectly.

That’s it, your hot green chilli cranberry fry is ready! Serve it with parathas, puri or anything of your choice.
