What ingredients are required to make Cabbage Kofta?

For the kofta

Cabbage – 2 cups (finely chopped)

Gram flour – 3-4 tablespoons

Boiled potato – 1 medium-sized (mashed)

Green chilli – 1, finely chopped

Salt – to taste

Ginger paste – 1 teaspoon

Light oil – 1-2 teaspoons

Black pepper powder – 1/4 teaspoon

For the curry

Tomatoes – 2 (for making puree)

Garlic – 2 cloves (chopped)

Onion – 1, finely chopped

Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon

Garam masala – 1/2 teaspoon

Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon

Yoghurt or fresh cream – 2 tablespoons

Green coriander leaves – for garnishing

Oil – 1 tablespoon

How is Cabbage Kofta made? 

How to prepare kofta?

1- First of all, steam the cabbage a little or cook it in the microwave for 2-3 minutes.
2- Then, add the boiled potatoes, ginger, green chillies, black pepper, and salt, mix well, and then form into small balls.
3- Now fry it in less oil and cook it till it becomes crispy.

How to prepare curry?

1- First, heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan, then add onion and garlic and fry till golden.
2- Then, add the tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes. Then, add the coriander powder, turmeric, salt, and garam masala, and mix well.
3- Then add a little water and cook until the gravy thickens. Then add yoghurt or cream and whisk lightly.

How to prepare Kofta Curry?

1- Add the prepared koftas to the curry and cook lightly for 2-3 minutes so that the flavour penetrates inside.
