Favorite offering to Maa Brahmacharini: Saffron Pistachio Rabri

Maa Brahmacharini is very fond of the offering of milk, sugar and panchamrit. Therefore, on the second day of Navratri, devotees offer her saffron pistachio rabri.

Recipe for Saffron Pistachio Rabdi

Ingredients:

Full cream milk: 1 liter
Sugar: according to taste
Saffron strands: 10-12
Finely chopped pistachios: 2 tablespoons

Method of preparation:

Heat the milk in a heavy bottom pan on medium flame.

Take out some hot milk and soak the saffron strands in it.

When the layer of cream starts forming on the milk, take it out with a spoon and keep sticking it on the sides of the pan.

When half the milk is left, scrape the cream from the sides and mix it in the milk.

Add sugar and mix well and cook for 5-7 minutes.

Add saffron milk and mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add finely chopped pistachios and mix and turn off the gas.

Let the rabri cool down and then offer it to Maa Brahmacharini.
