New Delhi: On the eve of Republic Day, the Indian government has announced the Padma Awards for 2026, which include several prominent names. The complete official list is expected to be released this evening. According to sources, the Padma Awards include names from the fields of literature, education, social service, medicine, art, and public welfare.
Among those recognised for their contributions to literature and education are Anke Gowda, along with Brajlal Bhatt, Budhri Tati, Bhagwan Das Raikwar, Dharmik Lal Chunni Lal Pandya, Dr Shyam Sundar, Charan Hembram, and K. Pazhanivel.
According to sources, the names being considered for the Padma Shri 2026 include DDrPunniyamurthy Natesan from Tamil Nadu, Ghaffaruddin Mewati from Rajasthan, DrDrrmida Fernandes and Bhiklya Ladkya Dhinda from Maharashtra, Chiranjee Lal Yadav from Uttar Pradesh, Dr Drmaraswamy Thangaraj from Telangana, and Dr Drma Gurmet from Jammu and Kashmir.
