Sarkari Naukri. The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has announced a major recruitment drive for youth across the country. The Intelligence Bureau, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has announced 362 vacancies for Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS-General) positions. Those with 10th-grade qualifications can apply. The online application process will begin on November 22, 2025, and will continue until December 14, 2025. Interested candidates can apply through the Ministry of Home Affairs’ official website, mha.gov.in. Selection will be based on a written examination.

Eligibility for Application

The minimum educational qualification for MTS positions is 10th grade. Candidates must have completed high school from a recognised board. Candidates must also be Indian citizens.

Age Limit

  • 18 to 25 years, relaxation for reserved categories
  • Age must be between 18 and 25 years, considering December 14, 2025, as the base date.
  • OBC candidates will receive a 3-year relaxation
  • SC/ST candidates will receive a 5-year relaxation
  • Other categories will also receive age relaxation as per Central Government rules.

Pay Scale and Allowances

The pay scale for the IB MTS post is Level-1 (₹18,000 – ₹56,900). In addition to all approved Central Government allowances, such as dearness allowance, HRA, transport allowance, and a special security allowance of 20% of the basic pay, candidates will also receive a special security allowance of 20% of the basic pay, improving their overall in-hand salary and benefits.

Substantial Recruitment in the IB This Year

Before the IB MTS recruitment, the department also invited applications for 258 ACIO Grade-II/Tech positions. These included 90 positions in Computer Science and IT and 168 in Electronics and Communication.
