Jobs in UP – Vacancies for 1.50 lakh posts in police and other departments

Government Job Update – In just 11 days, the new year will begin, and it’s going to be quite special. The year 2026 is expected to see a surge in government jobs in Uttar Pradesh. Vacancies from the police to teaching positions will be filled, and a large number of new positions will also be created.

If you are preparing for a government job, then you’re in luck in UP. According to a report, the UP government will fill more than 1.5 lakh vacant positions in about half a dozen departments, including police, education, and health. The government has fully geared up for this.

After a review, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also given permission to provide 1.5 lakh government jobs to the youth of the state in 2026. These jobs will be in various departments, including police, education, revenue, and housing development. The maximum number of positions will be filled in the police and education departments.

Government to Release Advertisement Soon

According to sources, the state government will release recruitment advertisements for approximately 50,000 positions each in the police and education departments in 2026. In 2026, the police department will recruit 30,000 constables and 5,000 sub-inspectors. The revenue department will recruit 20,000 people.

Vacancies in the prison department, housing development, child development and nutrition, and health department are also to be filled. The process of releasing recruitment advertisements for various departments is in its final stages. The recruitment process has already begun. The government has provided 8.5 lakh government jobs in various departments in the last 8.5 years. With the addition of 1.5 lakh jobs in 2026, the total number will reach 10 lakh.

How many positions have been filled in the Police Department?

According to a report, 2.19 lakh positions have already been filled in the police department. 30,000 positions will be filled in various departments,s including health, housing development, prisons, and child development and nutrition. According to official sources, the total number of new recruitments will be 1.5 lakh. In addition, to provide more job opportunities for young people, 2.19 lakh positions have been filled in the police force.

According to information from the education department, approximately 50,000 positions will be filled in the department. These recruitments will be for posts ranging from assistant teachers to lecturers and principals. Furthermore, 20,000 positions will be filled in the revenue department, with the majority being for revenue officers (patwaris).
