Weather Update:- It has been raining heavily in North India, including Delhi NCR, since late at night. Along with rain, cold winds are also blowing, which causes the weather to become cold again. In the month of February, the rain has put a break amid the rapidly rising temperature.
It rained early in the morning in the capital, Delhi, and its surrounding states, so a decrease in the minimum temperature has been recorded. People have started feeling cold once again. The good thing is that due to rain, Delhi’s air has also become cleaner.
Weather conditions in Delhi
The Meteorological Department had already issued an alert regarding thunderstorms along with rain in Delhi. According to the Meteorological Department, such a situation will remain until evening (20 February). After this, there is a possibility of a drizzle in Delhi tomorrow, i.e. on February 21 as well. Along with Delhi, some areas of UP, including Noida-Ghaziabad Haryana and Rajasthan, have also changed the weather due to rain.
Rain warning in these states
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, a western disturbance has entered the northern region of India. Due to its effect, snowfall is expected in the high mountains on 20-21 February. Whereas, cold winds are also expected to blow along with rain in the lower plains. During this time, there will be thundershowers in many areas. Due to strong winds, standing crops in the fields can be damaged.
According to the IMD, the series of rains will continue in Arunachal Pradesh till February 25. Also, rain can also be seen throughout the week in Assam, Meghalaya, and Nagaland, and. a Rain warning has been issued for the next 7 days in Manipur, Meghalaya, Sikkim and Darjeeling. A rain warning has been issued in West Rajasthan, Odisha and Assam today.
Rain warning in Uttar Pradesh
According to the IMD, a yellow alert has been issued due to rain in many areas of Uttar Pradesh. Dark clouds are also expected to remain in many parts of UP on Thursday. According to IMD, heavy rains with thunderstorms are expected in Gonda, Bahraich, Balrampur and Shravasti. Besides this, rains with strong winds are expected in Ayodhya, Barabanki, Basti, Lakhimpur Kheri and surrounding areas.
