New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 22nd instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme on March 13. This instalment benefited over 90 million farmers. With the funds from this instalment already being credited to accounts, discussions regarding the arrival of the next—the 23rd—instalment have now intensified. A question weighing on everyone’s mind is: when will the government release the upcoming instalment of this scheme?
It is anticipated that the government may release the funds for the next instalment by 2026. However, there has been no official update regarding this from the Union Ministry of Agriculture as of yet; these claims are currently being reported in various media outlets. Regardless, the eyes of millions of farmers are already fixed on the next instalment. To avail the benefits of this instalment, farmers will need to complete certain essential formalities; otherwise, they risk being left out once again.
What Should Farmers Do to Receive the Installment?
To ensure they receive the 23rd instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, farmers should complete certain necessary tasks. Failure to complete these essential formalities could result in the instalment being withheld—a significant setback for the farmers. Therefore, farmers should proactively complete tasks such as land verification and e-KYC to avoid any potential complications. To complete the e-KYC process, you will need to follow an online procedure.
How Can Farmers Complete e-KYC?
To begin, farmers must first visit the official website of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme: pmkisan.gov.in.
Next, on the homepage, they will need to click on the ‘e-KYC’ option located within the ‘Farmers Corner’ section.
They must then enter their 12-digit Aadhaar number and the displayed captcha code, after which they can click on ‘Search’.
Subsequently, they must enter the mobile number linked to their Aadhaar card and click on ‘Get OTP’.
Finally, they can enter the OTP received on their mobile phone and click on ‘Submit’.
With these steps completed, their e-KYC process will be successfully finalised.
Where was the 22nd Installment Released?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 22nd instalment—amounting to ₹2,000—for farmers during an event held in Guwahati, Assam. Farmers were notified about the release of the instalment SMS. There are still many farmers who have not received the message. Those farmers who did not receive the message on their mobile phones can visit their bank to check their statement.
