According to the Meteorological Department, the pre-monsoon season has set in, causing a significant shift in weather patterns. The IMD has issued an alert for heavy rainfall across several districts of Rajasthan between March 16 and March 19. Alerts for thunderstorms and gusty winds have also been issued for the region. The rain is expected to provide relief to residents from the rising heat.

Weather Forecast for Uttar Pradesh

According to the Meteorological Department, the pre-monsoon season has also arrived in Uttar Pradesh. The IMD has forecast the possibility of heavy rainfall in several districts on March 16 and March 19. Rain is also expected on March 17 and March 18. Additionally, alerts for thunderstorms and strong winds have been issued. These conditions are expected to offer residents some respite from the heat.

Heavy Rainfall Expected in These States

According to the Meteorological Department, alerts for heavy downpours have been issued for various parts of the country. The IMD has issued rain warnings for Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Jammu & Kashmir for the period between March 16 and March 19. In addition to these regions, rainfall is also likely in Central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Jharkhand.

Rain accompanied by thunderstorms is expected in Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Rain alerts have been issued for several places across Mahe, Puducherry, Yanam, Karaikal, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura. In view of the possibility of lightning strikes, an appeal has been made to exercise caution.
