According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh in South India. Thunderstorms and hurricanes are also expected here. In addition, an alert has been issued for cyclonic storms, thunderstorms, and heavy rain in parts of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Karnataka, and Lakshadweep.
Lightning is also expected here. Severe cold weather with dense fog is also predicted in the northeastern states. The Meteorological Department has issued a snowfall warning in Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Dense fog is expected in the morning and evening on Wednesday in Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.
Rajasthan Weather
According to the Meteorological Department, winter has begun to show its effect in Rajasthan as well. Minimum temperatures are expected to be 3 to 4 degrees Celsius below normal in many places. The weather in the state has remained dry during the past 24 hours.
Regarding last night, the minimum temperature in most parts of the state is expected to be between 5.0 and 13.0 degrees Celsius, with a drop of 3-4 degrees Celsius. Fatehpur also recorded a low of 5.3 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature is expected to drop further this week, leading to heavy fog and a cold snap.
Rain alert in these parts of Tamil Nadu
According to the Meteorological Department, a heavy rain warning has been issued in eight districts of Tamil Nadu. The IMD has issued a rain alert accompanied by thunderstorms in Kanyakumari, Ramanathapuram, Sivaganga, Tirunelveli, and Thoothukudi. In addition, heavy rain is expected in Virudhunagar, Tenkasi, and Theni.
