Vladimir Putin will be on 30-hour visit to India, many agreements are possible

New Delhi: Russian President Vladimir Putin, a longtime friend of India, has departed for Delhi. He will land at Delhi airport shortly, beginning a 30-hour visit. Putin’s presence will boost India’s military power and also convey a message of international trade and unity. He is expected to arrive in India by 6:30 p.m.

This is Putin’s first visit to India since the war between Russia and Ukraine began. PM Narendra Modi will host a private dinner in his honour this evening. Several important agreements are expected to be signed between the two countries, including the purchase of the S-400 missile system. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s last visit to India was on December 6, 2021.
