Bihar Assembly Election 2025 – The buzz around the Bihar Assembly elections is resonating from the ground to the sky. A close contest is expected between the NDA and the Grand Alliance in the state. The Grand Alliance has suffered a major setback amid the nomination process. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has broken ties, dealing a blow to the Grand Alliance.

The JMM will contest the elections on its own. The Grand Alliance had sidelined the JMM due to its high seat demands. The seats the JMM will contest include Chakai, Dhamdha, Katoria, Pirpainti, Manihari, and Jamui. According to JMM General Secretary and spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya, there are contradictions within the NDA as well as the Grand Alliance. There is internal strife in several seats.

Bhattacharya made a significant statement.

JMM General Secretary Bhattacharya stated that they will not contest with the Grand Alliance, but will contest on their own strength. Additionally, they have betrayed the workers of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. We will win the elections and ensure that the next government in Bihar is not formed without the consent of the JMM.

Internal strife has also intensified within the Grand Alliance comprising the RJD, Congress, and the Left parties. According to current information, the alliance’s constituents have already faced off in seven seats. A fierce contest is also visible among the alliance’s constituents for the Sikandabad Assembly seat. This seat was originally reserved for Vinod Chaudhary of the Congress. Former Speaker Uday Narayan Chaudhary has filed his nomination papers on the RJD symbol.
