Road Accident Update – A tragic road accident in Jodhpur district has left wounds that will last a long time. The death toll in the horrific accident has risen to 18. A tourist bus collided with a roadside trailer on the Bharatmala Expressway in the Matoda area of Phalodi, Jodhpur. The accident was so horrific that it sent shivers down the spine of anyone who witnessed it.
President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have expressed grief over the tragic incident. Relief has been extended to the families of the deceased from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. The families of those who lost their lives will receive a relief of ₹2 lakh each. Police officials have confirmed the death of 18 people. The injured have been admitted to the hospital, where the death toll may rise.
PM Modi expresses grief, offers relief to the victims
PM Narendra Modi expressed grief over the tragic incident through a post on Instagram. He also shared an emotional post. He wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the loss of lives in the accident in the Phalodi district of Rajasthan.” My condolences are with the affected people and their families during this difficult time. I wish the injured a speedy recovery.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also announced that the families of each deceased in the Jodhpur road accident will receive an ex gratia of ₹2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. The injured will receive a relief amount of ₹50,000.
It was reported that the pilgrims were returning to Sursagar after visiting Kolayat in Bikaner. Late at night, their vehicle collided with a trailer parked on the road.
Police Commissioner Provides Important Information
Police Commissioner Om Prakash Paswan shared details of the Jodhpur road accident. He stated that some people tragically died in a road accident. We are making arrangements for the treatment of the injured. A green corridor has been created to transport the injured to appropriate treatment facilities. He added that the administration is focused on saving the lives of the injured.
