SSC CPO Vacancy: Good news brought by the Staff Selection Commission for the aspirants: revised SSC CPO 2024 Vacancy with a big increase in the number of posts available. Candidates who appeared for the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment in Delhi Police and CAPF can now expect better opportunities after the latest update.

Updated Vacancy Details

The vacancies in Delhi Police remain unchanged at 186 posts, with 61 for women and 125 for men. On the other hand, in the CAPF, there has been an increase of 1121 positions from 4001 to 5122. These would include BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, and SSB, thereby expanding the avenue for candidates all over the country.

SSC CPO 2024 Final Result Released

The SSC CPO Vacancy 2024 final result was published on October 20, 2024. 5296 candidates in total were recruited out of which 455 women and 4841 males. In the previous stage, 22,246 candidates were qualified for medical and document verification based on their performance on Paper-2.

  • Delhi Police: 61 Sub-Inspectors recommended for 61 posts.
  • CAPF: 394 candidates recommended for 394 posts.

Male Candidates’ Selection

In Delhi Police, 113 candidates were recommended for 125 posts, with 12 EWS and 11 OBC candidates qualifying under the unreserved standard. A total of 413 candidates were recommended in the merit list for 513 posts in CAPF, of which 6 SC, 1 ST, 461 OBC, and 361 EWS candidates qualified under the unreserved category.

Examination and Application Details

The online application process for SSC CPO 2024 was open from March 8 to March 28, 2024. The first stage of the Computer-Based Examination (CBT) was held from June 27 to June 29, 2024, followed by the release of the answer key on July 5. The result of Tier-I came out on September 2, 2024. A total of 734,157 candidates applied for 4187 posts across the country, showing massive participation in the recruitment drive.
