New Delhi: The weather pattern in several parts of the country appears to be shifting once again, resulting in storms in some areas and rainfall in others. In the national capital, Delhi, and the Delhi-NCR region, rain accompanied by strong winds has commenced, leading to a noticeable drop in temperature. People can be seen huddling under roadside stalls and shops on the footpaths to take shelter from the rain.
Meanwhile, the weather has also taken a turn for the worse in several parts of Western Uttar Pradesh. Meteorologists are characterising this phenomenon as pre-monsoon rainfall. The weather situation is also deteriorating in Rajasthan, where the next four days could prove to be challenging. According to the Meteorological Department, pre-monsoon activity has commenced in Uttar Pradesh. The IMD has issued a warning for intense rainfall over the next four days. During this period, there is a likelihood of strong winds blowing at speeds of 30–50 kilometres per hour, dust storms, and thunderstorms accompanied by lightning in several districts.
Weather Forecast for Rajasthan
According to the Meteorological Department, the impact of the pre-monsoon season is expected to be felt in Rajasthan. The IMD has issued a warning for heavy rainfall in several districts of Rajasthan over the next four days. Additionally, warnings for light to moderate rainfall have been issued for various districts across the state during these four days. The forecast also indicates the possibility of strong winds, thunderstorms, and hailstorms in certain districts.

Heavy Rainfall Expected in These States
According to the India Meteorological Department, a rain alert has been issued for Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir for the next four days. Furthermore, regions including Ladakh, Central and Coastal Maharashtra, Marathwada, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh may also witness rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning.
In addition to the aforementioned regions, heavy rainfall is also likely in Vidarbha, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, a possibility of rain has been forecast for Karnataka, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Mahe, Puducherry, Yanam, Karaikal, and Assam.
