According to IMD, a western disturbance is going to be active from April 8, due to which light to moderate rain, thunderstorms and strong winds are expected in parts of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Uttarakhand on April 10 and 11. The day temperature may drop, and the heat wave conditions are expected to decrease.
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains can be seen in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya and Bihar on 9 April. The temperature will also gradually increase in North-West, Central and East India. Heat waves may lead to severe heat waves in many parts of Saurashtra, Kutch, and Rajasthan.
Weather conditions in UP
An alert was issued regarding rain and thunderstorms in many districts of UP between April 9 and 10. These include Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar and some adjoining districts.
