The Meteorological Department predicts that a cyclonic circulation in the Bay of Bengal will intensify Cyclone Senyar, bringing dramatic weather changes. Consequently, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rainfall alert for several states in the next 48 hours.
Heavy Rains to Occur in These States
The activation of Cyclone Senyar has brought changes to the weather in several states across the country. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rainfall across several states. Several districts in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh will experience heavy rain in the next 48 hours. During this period, there is also an alert for thunderstorms, strong winds of 30-50 kilometres per hour, and dust storms.
The activation of Cyclone Senyar is expected to affect the weather in other parts of the country. Heavy rain is expected in Andaman and Nicobar, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Lakshadweep, and Mahe over the next 48 hours. Thunderstorms and strong winds are also likely during this period.
Weather Conditions in Rajasthan and Delhi
Rajasthan experienced heavy rain for a few days even after the monsoon withdrew, but now the cold has set in. Temperatures in many areas of Rajasthan and Delhi may drop by 2-3 degrees over the next 48 hours, although there will be sunshine during the day.

Temperatures will drop sharply in 10 districts of Uttar Pradesh: Agra, Kanpur, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Mathura, Varanasi, Jhansi, and Aligarh from November 24th.
