Monsoon Update: The Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the low-pressure area forming in the South Andaman Sea could develop into a cyclone. It could strengthen in the Bay of Bengal by November 24th, and southern states, including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, could experience heavy rainfall between November 27th and November 29th. Water levels in rivers, ponds, and dams have risen in many states. Rainfall continues in some states even after the monsoon has receded. The Meteorological Department has issued a special alert for the next five days.

Weather Conditions in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh
Tamil Nadu also received adequate rainfall during the monsoon season, and an alert has been issued for heavy rain for the next five days. Additionally, heavy rainfall is forecast for coastal Andhra Pradesh over the next 5 days. A warning has also been issued for strong winds and thunderstorms during this period.

Storm brewing in the Bay of Bengal
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning stating that a low-pressure area has formed near the South Andaman Sea and the Malacca Strait on November 22nd. It may strengthen further in the Bay of Bengal by November 24th.

Rainfall forecast in four states
According to the IMD, heavy rainfall is forecast for the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands between November 23rd and 25th.

Heavy rainfall is expected in these areas, particularly today and tomorrow. Thunderstorms and lightning are also scheduled for this period, along with heavy rain.

Which states will receive rainfall?
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is forecast in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands until November 27th. Additionally, heavy to heavy rain is expected on November 24 and 25.

Heavy rainfall is forecast in Tamil Nadu until November 25.

An alert has been issued for heavy rainfall in most parts of Kerala and Mahe until November 26.

Heavy rainfall is expected in Lakshadweep and surrounding areas, including Rayalaseema, on November 23.
