Jaffar Express Attack: A shocking incident has emerged from Pakistan, causing widespread panic. An explosion on the Jaffar Express in Balochistan injured several people. The injured were hospitalised, with some reported in critical condition. The train, which was headed to Quetta, was targeted in the Sultankot area near the Balochistan border.
Trains have been targeted before. Initial investigations revealed that the blast was caused by an improvised explosive device planted on the tracks. This derailed approximately half a dozen coaches of the Quetta-bound passenger train. A police officer has claimed responsibility for the powerful attack.
Who claimed responsibility for the attack?
The Baloch insurgent group, the Baloch Republic Guards, has claimed responsibility for the attack on the train in Balochistan. Claiming responsibility, the Baloch Republic Guards claimed that the attack was carried out because Pakistani army personnel were also traveling on the train. The Baloch Republican Guards said in a statement that the train was attacked while soldiers of the occupying Pakistani army were travelling in it.
