New Delhi: On Tuesday morning, panic erupted after a bomb threat email was received on a flight. Security agencies, in the interest of passenger safety, quickly made an emergency landing at Mumbai Airport. The flight was bound for Kuwait from Hyderabad and belonged to IndiGo. After landing, the plane was moved to the airport’s isolation bay. The aircraft is currently under investigation.
Morning Flight
On Tuesday morning, an IndiGo flight departed from Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport for Kuwait. Shortly after takeoff, Hyderabad Airport received a threatening email, which alleged a bomb threat on board. Following this, air traffic control immediately diverted the flight and landed it at Mumbai Airport.
Passengers have been safely evacuated. Arrangements are now being made for alternate flights to complete their journey. According to officials, the plane was taken to an isolation bay after landing. The Bomb Disposal Squad, Central Industrial Security Force, and other security teams have launched a full investigation. Initial investigations have so far found no explosive material.
