Monsoon Update: Monsoon is now at its peak, due to which heavy rains have put a brake on the pace of life. The situation has worsened due to rain, where flood havoc is also being seen in many places. A cloud burst in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, created a situation like a disaster. 4 people died here, while more than 50 are missing.

Some army personnel are also missing among them. On the other hand, heavy rains have also made life miserable in Uttar Pradesh. Traffic is also being disrupted due to waterlogging on dilapidated roads. The situation has worsened due to rain in many parts of Bihar and West Bengal. The water level of many rivers is above the danger mark. There are also incidents of lightning. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department has predicted torrential rains till August 11.

Cloud burst in Uttarakhand

A cloud burst caused havoc in Uttarkashi, where the havoc of rain is still being seen. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of rain with thunderstorms in Dehradun, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh and Nainital on Wednesday. Apart from these, torrential rains may occur in various areas of Almora, Pauri, Uttarkashi, Tehri and Champawat. There is a possibility of thunderstorms and lightning at many places here.

Rain warning in Rajasthan too.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in many areas for the next 4 days. The IMD has issued an alert of torrential rains in Jaipur, Ajmer, Bikaner, Churu, Alwar and Jodhpur, Bharatpur and Kota. Apart from these, the movement of clouds may continue, including Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Udaipur and Banswara.

Possibility of torrential rain in Bihar

If IMD is to be believed, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Madhubani, Sitamarhi, Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga on August 6, i.e. today. Heavy rains may occur in East Champaran, West Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran and Vaishali. Apart from these, a heavy rain alert has been issued in Samastipur, Saharsa, Madhepura, Purnia, Katihar and Kishanganj. Lightning and strong winds may continue in Araria and Supaul.

Heavy rain in these states

The Meteorological Department has predicted torrential rains in the mountainous regions of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir on August 6. There is also a possibility of cloudbursts and landslides due to torrential rains. The IMD has issued an alert for heavy rains in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur.

A heavy rain warning has been issued in many parts of Mizoram and Tripura from August 6 to 11. Along with this, a heavy rain warning has been issued in Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Heavy rainfall may also occur in Lakshadweep and Andaman-Nicobar Islands.
