New Delhi: The next three days are unlikely to be easy, as weather conditions are expected to remain severely unsettled. High-altitude states may witness spells of rain accompanied by snowfall, leading to expectations of a significant drop in temperature levels.
In Uttarakhand, late-night snowfall and light rain in the hilly regions have caused temperatures to plummet below the freezing point. Similar conditions prevail in Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir. Weather conditions also remain adverse in South India, creating a precarious situation. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), rain alerts have been issued for several states across the country. Weather in Kashmir
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in the high-altitude areas of Kashmir is extremely cold due to snowfall and rain, causing residents to feel the biting chill of winter. Furthermore, a blanket of snow currently covers most parts of the valley. The skies are expected to remain overcast, and weather conditions are anticipated to remain changeable for the next several days.
Weather in Sikkim
The Meteorological Department has issued an avalanche alert for the high-altitude regions of Sikkim’s Gangtok and Pakyong districts. According to an advisory issued by the Sikkim State Disaster Management Authority, there is a possibility of avalanches occurring within the next 24 hours in areas situated above an altitude of 3,500 meters. Most parts of this Himalayan state could experience heavy rainfall starting Friday morning.

Weather in Delhi Set to Deteriorate Again
According to the Meteorological Department, weather conditions in Delhi are likely to take a turn for the worse once again. The IMD has forecast the presence of dense cloud cover and the possibility of rain accompanied by gusty winds. Additionally, the department has predicted thunderstorms, lightning strikes, and hailstorms.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain alerts have been issued for various locations across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Puducherry. Apart from these states, rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is also expected in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Telangana.
