BMW Hits Bike: A tragic accident took place in Delhi on Monday morning. In this accident, Deputy Secretary of the Finance Ministry Navjot Singh died, while his wife is said to be seriously injured. According to the information, this incident occurred on Sunday near the Delhi Cantt Metro Station on the Ring Road, when a BMW car hit the motorcycle from behind. Police stated that Navjot Singh resided in Hari Nagar, West Delhi, and was employed in the Department of Economic Affairs.
How did the accident happen?
As soon as the information about the accident was received, the police immediately arrived at the scene. They saw that a BMW car had overturned near the road divider, at pillar number 67, and a motorcycle was lying nearby. According to eyewitnesses, a BMW driven by a woman hit the bike on which Navjot Singh and his wife were riding from behind.
After the accident, the BMW driver woman and her husband took the injured to the hospital. However, instead of taking them to a nearby hospital, they took them to Newlife Hospital in GTB Nagar, about 17 kilometres away. Doctors told the police that Navjot Singh has succumbed to his injuries, while his wife is still undergoing treatment.
The police are investigating
The BMW driver and her husband have also been injured in the accident and are currently hospitalised. The police have not been able to record their statements yet due to their medical condition. A police officer has confirmed that a case is being registered in this matter and a thorough investigation will be conducted. Both the BMW and the motorcycle involved in the accident have been seized.
