Bihar Election 2025: Amidst rallies and accusations from political parties, the first phase of election campaigning came to a close at 5 p.m. Major leaders from the NDA, Grand Alliance, and Jan Surajya Party were seen putting their full efforts behind their respective candidates in the first phase. Voting will now take place on November 6th. Only door-to-door campaigning will be permitted.
Rallies by prominent leaders will now be held solely for the second-phase candidates. Voting will take place in 121 seats across 17 districts in the first phase. Polling parties will begin departing for their polling stations on Wednesday morning.

However, for about a year in between, Nitish Kumar supported Jitan Ram Manjhi to become the Chief Minister.

All leaders were seen claiming victory. On behalf of the Grand Alliance, former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav addressed a public meeting and appealed to the people for their victory. Former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav and Kairana MP Iqra Hasan also held public rallies for the All India Alliance candidates.
On behalf of the NDA, CM Nitish Kumar himself took charge. Union Minister Lallan Singh and Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary also appealed for votes. Prashant Kishor, founder of Jan Suraj, also appealed for votes for his candidates throughout the day.
Which districts will vote in the first phase?
Voting will take place in 121 seats across 17 districts in the first phase. Elections will be held in Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Saharsa, Khagaria, Begusarai, Munger, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Nalanda, Patna, Bhojpur and Buxar.
