Google Maps: In preparation for the holiday season, Google has expanded Google Maps with four new features. These modifications are intended to support electric vehicle (EV) users, make location searches easier, give users more information while out and about, and protect their privacy while posting reviews.

AI “Know Before You Go” Advice

Gemini AI will now be used by Google Maps to pre-screen important details about locations such as hotels, restaurants, and music halls.

Synopsis derived from web data and reviews

The summary will include details about parking, menus, and bookings. Users of iOS and Android devices in the US can presently access this functionality.

The Explore Tab’s new appearance and popular spots

Third-party lists and local influencers were also included.

This month, this feature will be accessible on iOS and Android worldwide.

Detailed details about EV chargers

For owners of electric vehicles, a significant function has been added. The AI algorithm will forecast the availability of chargers and provide a list of possible charging station locations on maps. There will also be an analysis of historical and current data.

Help to reduced wait times

Next week, Android Auto and Google-installed cars will get this upgrade. A profile picture will be optional, and users will now be allowed to use their nickname when reviewing nearby companies. There will be an internal connection between this function and a Google account. This feature is being released on desktop and mobile devices worldwide.
