SSC GD Constable 2026: Educational Qualification and Age Limit

Candidates considering applying for this recruitment should first check their eligibility.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed the 10th or Matriculation from a recognised board.
  • Candidates with lower qualifications will not be eligible to apply.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age limit: 18 years
  • Maximum age limit: 23 years

SC, ST, OBC, and other reserved categories will be given age relaxation as per government rules.

SSC GD Constable 2026: Physical Standards

Physical standards are crucial for selection in the Constable GD recruitment. The Commission has set different standards for men and women.

  • General/OBC/SC candidates
  • Male: Minimum height 170 cm
  • Female: Minimum height 157 cm
  • ST candidates

Male: Minimum height 162.5 cm

Female: Minimum height 150 cm

Also, height relaxation is provided to candidates from hilly areas and specific districts.

SSC GD 2026: Application Process

Once registration opens, candidates will be able to fill out the application only through online mode. SSC will not accept offline applications.

  • First, visit the SSC’s official website, ssc.nic.in.
  • Select the “Constable GD” link in the Apply section on the homepage.
  • Now, click on ‘New Registration’ to fill in your basic information and complete the registration.
  • Log in with your registration ID and password and fill out the application form.
  • Upload all documents and submit the form by paying the application fee.

  • General/OBC/EWS: ₹100
  • SC/ST/Women: Free
  • Payment can only be made online.
