School Holidays: Winter begins to arrive in November. Many states across the country are experiencing a chill. Snowfall is also occurring in some states. The month of November is about to end in a few days, and December is predicted to be extremely cold.
This poses significant difficulties for children going to school. As the cold begins, dense fog can be seen in the mornings and evenings.
This season brings significant challenges for schoolchildren. As winter progresses, preparations for winter vacation begin. So let’s find out how many days schools will be closed during winter vacation in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
Bihar Winter Vacation
Maximum temperatures have increased in most districts of Bihar. Aurangabad recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 13 degrees. Last year, due to the increasing cold, the holidays for classes 1 to 8 were extended until January 11th.
For the winter break, students may be given a seven-day holiday, which could include Christmas and Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti. The Bihar government has not yet officially announced these dates, but based on previous years’ data, the government has announced winter vacation from December 26th to January 6th.
UP Winter Vacation
There is still about a week left before the end of November. In the next 10 to 11 days, the last month of the year, December, will arrive. This month is the most awaited month for schoolchildren because of the winter vacation. During this period, all schools are closed for a week to half a month.
Winter vacation in Uttar Pradesh is not very long. Holidays are usually announced from December 25th, Christmas Day, and schools remain closed until the middle of January. Although the UP government has yet to officially announce its winter break, schools and colleges in UP are expected to be extended for around 15 days due to the cold weather.
Meanwhile, students appearing for board exams may receive fewer holidays, as completing the syllabus is crucial for board exam preparation. We will update you on winter vacations as soon as the state education department officially confirms them.
