The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has released the complete timetable for the 2026 annual examinations for Class 10 and 12. The JAC board exams will begin on February 3, 2026, with matriculation exams continuing until February 17 and intermediate exams continuing until February 23. This year, the exams will be conducted in two shifts—matriculation exams in the first shift and intermediate exams in the second.
This datesheet is extremely important for students appearing for the 2026 board exams, as the JAC has also issued several important instructions regarding admit card downloads, practical exams, and evaluation.
Exam Shifts and Timings
Matriculation (10th) Exam Timings
First Shift: 9:45 AM to 1:00 PM
Intermediate (12th) Exam Timings
Second Shift: 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM
The Matriculation exam will be conducted in the form of a question paper and answer sheet, while for Intermediate, the question paper and answer sheet will be provided separately.
Admit Card Release Dates
- 10th Admit Card Download: January 16, 2026
- 12th Admit Card Download: January 17, 2026
Students will be able to obtain their admit cards through their schools.
Practical Exams and Internal Assessment
JAC has clearly stated that practical exams and internal assessments are mandatory.
Practical exams and internal assessment: February 24 to March 7, 2026
School marks upload: February 25 to March 9, 2026
If a student does not appear for a practical or internal exam, they will be marked absent, and their result may be affected.

Copy checking will begin in March 2026 after the exams are over.
The JAC Board has indicated that both Matriculation and Intermediate results will be released by the end of April 2026.
