GUJCET 2026 Exam Schedule Released. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has finally released the exam dates for the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET 2026). According to information from the board, the exam will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026. This exam is mandatory for admission to engineering and pharmacy courses in the state. Students from Group A (Physics-Chemistry-Maths), Group B (Physics-Chemistry-Biology), and Group AB of the Science stream will be eligible to participate.

What is the GUJCET exam?
GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Gujarat Education Department. Through this exam, students can seek admission to degree engineering, degree pharmacy, and diploma pharmacy courses.
The GUJCET exam has been conducted regularly every year since 2017. This exam has become the primary mode of admission to higher education after Class 12 (Science stream) in Gujarat.

The GUJCET 2026 Application Form and information booklet will be made available soon on the Board’s official website, www.gseb.org. Candidates are advised to visit the website regularly to avoid missing updates regarding form submission and fee payment dates. The Board will issue a separate press release in this regard soon.
Exam Timings and ExamCentress
The Gujarat Common Entrance Test 2026 will be conducted from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at district-level exam centres across the state. CCTV and online monitoring systems will be used at all exam centres to ensure surveillance and transparency.
GUJCET 2026 Exam Pattern
The GUJCET exam consists of four major subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
- Physics and Chemistry: Combined paper (80 questions total – 40 questions from each subject), 80 marks, 120 minutes.
- Mathematics and Biology: Separate papers (40 questions each), 40 marks, 50 minutes.
Separate OMR answer sheets will be provided for each subject. The medium of the exam will be Gujarati, Hindi, and English, allowing candidates to take the exam in their preferred language.

GUJCET Result 2026 and Admission Process
Admission to engineering and pharmacy colleges in Gujarat is based on the GUJCET exam results. The exam scores, along with Class 12 board marks, are also considered in preparing the merit list. After the results are declared, the ACPC (Admission Committee for Professional Courses) will conduct an online counselling process.
