General (Unreserved Category) – 50%
Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 40%
Other Backward Classes (OBC) – 42.50%
Backward Classes (BC) – 45.50%

Passing Marks and Certificate Validity
Minimum passing marks have been set for different categories to qualify for the Bihar STET exam. General category candidates are required to score 50 per cent marks, while some relaxation has been given for Backwards Classes and other reserved categories. Candidates who pass this exam will receive an eligibility certificate from the board. This certificate is mandatory for teacher recruitment at the secondary (classes 9-10) and senior secondary (classes 11-12) levels in government schools in Bihar.
