Travis Head’s fastest 3,000 runs: New records are being set and broken every day in the world of cricket. The Indian cricket team is currently playing a one-day series against Australia. In the third ODI of the series against India at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Australian player Travis Head created history. By scoring 29 runs, he created a record.
Head has joined the list of the first Australian batsmen to reach 3,000 runs in the fewest innings. Head won the hearts of cricket fans by achieving this feat in just 76 innings. Michael Bevan and George Bailey had reached this milestone in 80 innings, while David Warner reached the three-thousand mark in 81 matches.

You will be surprised to know that Travis Head ranks fourth among the players who have reached 3,000 ODI runs in the fewest balls. Internationally, Glenn Maxwell is at the top in this regard. He reached 3,000 ODI runs in 2,440 balls. English cricket team’s Jos Buttler achieved this milestone in 2,533 balls.
Jason Roy, third on the list, reached 3,000 runs in 2,820 balls. Travis Head reached 3,000 ODI runs in 2,839 balls. Jonny Bairstow, fifth, won the hearts of cricketers by achieving this feat in 2,842 balls.
How many runs were Australia all out for?
In the Sydney ODI, Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. The Australian openers made a strong start to the innings. Travis Head and captain Mitchell Marsh shared a 61-run partnership in 9.2 overs.
Travis returned to the pavilion after scoring 29 runs in 25 balls with six fours. Captain Marsh then took charge but missed his half-century. He scored 41 runs off 50 balls. Marsh hit a six and five fours before being bowled by Axar Patel.
Meanwhile, Matthew Short tried to take the team towards a big score by adding 36 runs for the third wicket with Matt Renshaw. Short returned to the pavilion after scoring 30 runs. Then wickets fell at regular intervals, and Australia returned to the pavilion for 236 runs in 46.4 overs.
