One of the successful projects of the West Bengal government is Lakshmir Bhandar. This special project was launched by the humanitarian Chief Minister of Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, with the aim of providing financial assistance to the women of Bengal. Today, numerous women of West Bengal are getting the benefits of that project. According to analysts, this project is also the main backbone of Mamata Banerjee’s government. That is why the monthly allowance of this special project has been increased by Rs. 500 in the interim budget ahead of the assembly elections. The Lakshmirs of Bengal have started receiving the increased amount accordingly. The work of paying money to those who had applied for it anew has already started. However, the problem is that there are many new applicants who have not yet received the money from Lakshmir Bhandar. But why is the monthly allowance of Lakshmir Bhandar not coming in?
Lakshmir Bhandar monthly allowance increased
Recently, the monthly allowance of the special project Lakshmir Bhandar has been increased by Rs. 500 in the interim budget of the state. After Finance Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya tabled the proposal, the Chief Minister herself announced the increase in financial allowance. According to the state government’s decision, currently general category women are getting Rs 1,500 instead of Rs 1,000. On the other hand, scheduled caste and tribal women are getting Rs 1,700.
Due to what mistakes is the Lakshmi Bhandar money getting stuck?
According to the state government’s announcement, although the increased Lakshmi Bhandar money has entered the accounts of numerous women, many of the new ones have not received any money from the Lakshmi Bhandar yet. After investigation, it was found that there are many who have already received the money by applying for Lakshmi Bhandar anew. However, the Lakshmi Bhandar money has not yet arrived in the bank for many. According to government officials, such problems arise due to several errors in the application form.
Experts claim that if someone spells their name wrong while applying for the Lakshmi Bhandar scheme or if the spelling of the name mentioned in the form does not match the name in the Aadhaar card and other documents, the application may be rejected. Similarly, if the name of the father or husband mentioned in the Aadhaar card does not match the name mentioned in the application form, the same problem may arise. This is not the end. If the applicant has given incorrect information regarding the bank account in his Lakshmi Bhandar form, such as the wrong account number, the wrong IFSC Code, then the application may be rejected. Naturally, the Lakshmi Bhandar money will not be credited.
What to do if you do not receive the money?
If you have not received the Lakshmi Bhandar money after applying again, first check the status by going to the government portal https://socialsecurity.wb.gov.in. If a validation error is shown there, then it means that there is an error in the application. In that case, contact the camp where you applied offline to get the Lakshmi Bhandar money or the BDO office with your necessary documents. After informing the concerned authorities about your problem, they will give you a solution.
