Dinesh Karthik made a big mistake
After winning the toss, Indian captain Dinesh Karthik decided to bowl first. This gave the team a good start. Kuwait had lost four wickets for just 38 runs in the fourth over. Captain Dinesh Karthik then made a blunder. He gave the over to Priyank Panchal, who conceded five consecutive sixes, conceding 32 runs. Prior to that, captain Dinesh Karthik had conceded 23 runs. Due to the thrashing in the last two overs, Team India lost five wickets in six overs, conceding 106 runs. For Kuwait, Yasin Patel scored 58 runs in 14 balls, including eight sixes. This innings put India behind in the match.
Chasing the target, Team India suffered a major setback in the first over. Robin Uthappa was dismissed without scoring. Captain Dinesh Karthik managed just 8 runs. Stuart Binny also managed just 2. Abhimanyu Mithun scored the most runs with 26, while Shahbaz Nadeem also made 19. Despite this, India was all out for 79 runs in 5.4 overs. Kuwait captain Yasin Patel took three crucial wickets. With this defeat, India is also eliminated from the main tournament.
