This means that even under the new rules, biometric fingerprints will be required to add a photo to your Aadhaar card.

How to Update Your Photo on Aadhaar
First, you’ll need to visit the official UIDAI website.
You’ll then need to select the Aadhaar Enrolment or Correction option and obtain the form.
Then, print out the form and list the required information.
Afterwards, take the form and the required documents to the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra.
After this, verify your identity using biometrics.
Your new photo will be easily clicked at the same time.
You will then have to pay Rs. 100 plus GST for this photo.
You will also receive a slip from here.
Then, the URN will be written on this slip.
By following these steps, you can easily change the photo on your Aadhaar card.

You can use the URN number on your slip to find out when your photo will be updated. You can also check the status of your photo using the URN number by visiting the UIDAI’s official website. According to some reports, it may take up to three months, or 90 days, for the photo to be updated.
