UIDAI Changes Rules: The Aadhaar card has become an extremely important document these days. So, if you are planning to get a new Aadhaar card or want to change information like name, address, date of birth, or photo on your existing Aadhaar, you will now have to keep the new rules in mind. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has released updated document rules related to Aadhaar for the year 2025-26. Without these documents, you will not be able to update your Aadhaar card details.

What happens if you have more than one Aadhaar?

According to UIDAI, if a person has accidentally obtained two or more Aadhaar numbers in their name, only the Aadhaar number that was issued first will be considered valid. All other Aadhaar numbers will be automatically canceled. People are advised to use only one Aadhaar.
