EPFO UPDATE: If you are a salaried employee, this news could be very important for you. It is often observed that employees move from one company to another for better opportunities. In such cases, employees working in the private sector sometimes receive a new UAN (Universal Account Number). Because of this, some people end up with two active UAN numbers at the same time. However, according to the rules, a person should have only one UAN number. EPFO provides a special facility for such employees, which allows them to merge their UAN numbers.
