The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has released a notification concerning the written examination for direct recruitment to the roles of Constable Civil Police and similar positions. This written examination is scheduled for June 8, 9, and 10, 2026. But there will be huge traffic diversion, which should you know about it.

According to the Additional Secretary of the Recruitment Board, Satyarth Anirudh Pankaj, the written examination will take place in two shifts across all districts on June 8 and 9. The first shift will run from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, while the second shift is set for 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. To assist candidates, the recruitment board has arranged for admit cards to be downloadable three days before the examination date.

Traffic diversions will be implemented for three days

As per an order from the Bhadohi police, routes for heavy vehicles will be redirected from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on June 8, June 9, and June 10, 2026. During this period, the movement of trucks, dumpers, heavy vehicles, trailers, and other large cargo vehicles will be restricted.

According to the police administration’s directive, heavy vehicles heading towards Mirzapur from the Aurai intersection in the Aurai police station area will be prohibited from entering during the specified timeframe. This measure aims to alleviate traffic congestion near the examination centers. Additionally, heavy vehicles traveling towards Mirzapur from the Mirzapur Road intersection in the Gopiganj police station area will also face restrictions for the three days.

Candidates can check the recruitment board’s website at uppbpb.gov.in for details about their examination center and the district where the written examination will occur. He also advised candidates to keep their Aadhaar cards accessible for e-KYC verification at the examination centers. Over 3 million candidates have applied for 32,679 constable positions.
